McLennan Community College Student Counseling Center

College can be stressful and demanding. Students may often experience a variety of mental health issues – personal, social, emotional, and adjustment issues that require assistance. Students may need additional support to meet these challenges.

The MCC Student Counseling Center offers both individual and crisis counseling. The Center can also assist students with referrals to off-campus resources, if necessary. Students may schedule an appointment by calling 254-299-8210 or by coming to the Counseling Center located in the Wellness & Fitness building, Room 101. MCC Student Counseling Center hours are 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

Crisis Counseling / Mental Health Emergencies

Assistance is available for students experiencing a crisis/mental health emergency by a Licensed Professional Counselor who is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. You may reach the MCC Student Counseling Center by calling 299-8210 during office hours, or by contacting MCC Campus Police at 299-8911.

    The TITLE IX Coordinator is a resource if you or someone you know is a victim of sexual misconduct, gender-based violence, or the crimes of rape, acquaintance rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating violence or domestic violence.

  • C.A.R.E. Team (Campus Assessment Response & Evaluation)

    The mission of MCC’s C.A.R.E. team is to promote student, faculty, and staff success and campus safety by identifying and referring students who may be in distress and who demonstrate behaviors that may be early warning signs of possible disruptive or violent behavior so intervention may occur at the earliest possible point. C.A.R.E. connects students, faculty, and staff with appropriate campus resources to maintain contact with the student after the initial crisis and provide additional support as needed. The C.A.R.E. Team can be contacted by completing the HARM Reporting Form
